As we close the chapter on FY 2024, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the remarkable achievements of FSC First. This year has truly demonstrated our steadfast dedication to supporting and uplifting small businesses in our community. Throughout the year, FSC First has successfully served business owners by strategic marketing efforts, providing critical access to capital, and delivering essential training and coaching.
FSC First’s outreach initiatives and website engagements have significantly elevated our social media presence. FSC First’s media coverage has expanded, and our social media platforms have thrived. This growth underscores our commitment to fostering robust community connections and enhancing our digital footprint.
FSC First has funded an impressive $7.5 million in loans closed and approved over $7 million in loans. We have not only met but exceeded our expectations in capital access. Furthermore, we were able to award $820,000 in grants to 82 deserving small business owners, providing them with the support they need to thrive. This success is a testament to our collective dedication and the positive impact we are making in our communities.
The Level Up program has been a cornerstone of our technical assistance support for small businesses at various stages of their journeys. In FY 2024, the program executed 90 events, served 2,196 small businesses, and provided coaching and consulting to 163 participants. The success of Level Up reflects the strong partnerships we have cultivated, enabling us to reach businesses across diverse industries.
As we embark on FY 2025, FSC First is poised to continue our upward trajectory and make significant strides in our mission. We remain steadfast in our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of the business community in Prince George’s County and the greater State of Maryland.
