Capital Matters Track 1: Business Preparatory Support: Session #2: Financial Management Systems Part 2 –Financial Statements and Key Ratios

October 12, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

This one-hour session will introduce the business owner to understanding how assets, liabilities, income, expenses, owner’s draws, partner distribution, retained earnings, loans, and interest should reflect on financial statements. The accountant will also discuss ratios, including liquidity solvency, profitability, efficiency, and EBITDA. An accountant will lead the discussion and answer questions from the attendees. The attendees will leave with a general understanding of the importance of these concepts.

The Capital Matters program equips small business owners with the essential financial management tools necessary for growth. Through a comprehensive understanding of the application process, guidance on preparing loan documents, and introductions to key lending partners, FSC First customizes financing solutions to suit your business toolkit.

Furthermore, the Capital Matters Program has recently expanded to offer two distinct tracks. Track One is specifically crafted for businesses that may not be fully prepared to initiate loan applications but require additional assistance to become loan-ready. On the other hand, Track Two is designed for businesses that have already taken the necessary steps to prepare and are now poised to apply for loans confidently.

Track 1: Business Preparatory Support

  • Participants in this track will receive guidance and resources to help them navigate the loan application process effectively.
  • The goal is to equip businesses with the knowledge and tools they need to strengthen their loan application and increase their chances of approval.

Track 2: Loan Ready Businesses

  • Participants in this track will receive information about the specific loan programs and offers available to them.
  • The focus here is on providing businesses with the details they need to successfully secure the financing they require.

Registration for both the full tracks and single sessions is available. Participants who sign up for the full may be eligible to receive a free license to a business plan writing software tool or accounting software. In addition, you may receive up to three hours of free consulting with a service provider professional such as a Coach or CPA.
