Prince George’s Financial Services Corporation (FSC First)

FSC-Logo200Mission: FSC First is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide small and minority-owned businesses access to creative, flexible and innovative financing solutions for their operations; through direct loans, accounts receivable financing, and contract financing ranging between $5,000-$250,000, including SBA 504 commercial real estate and equipment loans up to $5.5 million.

Vision: FSC First is recognized as the premier lender of non-traditional financing for small and minority-owned businesses in Prince George’s County and the State of Maryland.

Prince George’s Economic Development Center

edc200Mission: EDC’s mission is to market and promote Prince George’s County as the location of choice in the National Capital Region; attract, retain and grow businesses; train the County’s workforce; and promote our businesses, products and services globally.

Vision: EDC’s vision is to make Prince George’s County the location of choice for businesses looking to locate or expand in the national capital region, and a national leader in economic development.

Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), Prince George’s Community College

Center for Entrepreneurial Development200Mission:  The Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) through an innovative capacity building curriculum, will prepare local entrepreneurs to take full advantage of business opportunities in Prince George’s County and throughout the metropolitan region.

Vision:  The Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) will be a catalyst for growing the County’s economy by increasing the capacity of local entrepreneurs.

Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Compliance Manager


Mission: The mission of the Prince George’s Council’s MBE Compliance Manager is advocate for and promote policies and regulations to improved opportunities for MBE’s (including women and veteran business owners) , County-based, and County-located businesses; and to establish a strong support presence in the business community. The mission shall be accomplished working in a collaborative effort with other stakeholders in the County responsible for economic development.

Vision:  The vision of the Prince George’s Council’s MBE Compliance Manager is to have a substantial number of local and minority businesses with the capacity to bid successfully on major development projects in the county and throughout the region; and ensure that the local residents and the MBE (including women and veteran business owners) Community benefit from the major development projects and the growth and economic development in the County through contracts and employment opportunities.

Supplier Development and Diversity Division (SDDD)

Mission: To stimulate a vibrant and sustainable inclusive and diverse supplier program by advocating for Strategic Sourcing; facilitating Business Development, and ensuring business Diversity and Inclusion that creates value for Local, Small, Minority, Disadvantaged and Veteran County Businesses that seek to foster job creation and increases the commercial tax base.

Vision: The Supplier Development and Diversity Division (SDDD) will be recognized as the premier supplier diversity program, creating the opportunity for economic empowerment in Prince George’s County and throughout the region for Local, Small, Disadvantaged, Minority, and Veteran Businesses.

Mission: The Maryland Women’s Business Center (MWBC) helps women and men throughout our community start and grow successful women-owned enterprises positioned for long-term growth through training, resources, access to funding and individual assistance.

Bowie Business Innovation Center (Bowie BIC)


Mission: The Mission of the Bowie Business Innovation Center (Bowie BIC), which is located at Bowie State University, is to spur economic development and retain business growth in the Bowie community and Prince George’s County by providing an integrated business development platform including mentoring, networking and access to facilities that help accelerate the establishment, growth and graduation of innovative, commercially successful firms.
