Sky High Sports & Entertainment, LLC

Sky High Sports & Entertainment is a recently formed limited liability company owned equally between Rodney Chambers and Ronald Covington for the purpose of operating a startup family entertainment company doing business as “Party Headquarters.”

With FSC First’s assistance, this entertainment business received $200,000 while utilizing both the EDI Fund and The City of Bowie Revolving Loan Fund. Referred by our very own Business Development Manager, J. Steward Smith, this new facility will create 101 full-time jobs in the county, and will assist in the retention of a minority owned business. Party Headquarters will also broaden the commercial tax base, promote economic growth in the industry, and leverage private and public dollars.

Rodney Chambers is a former K-12 educator giving him experience in working with youth of all ages. Rodney was also a Global Account executive and Trainer for U.S. Airways. During this time he acquired his corporate event planning experience as well as coordinating travel, rooming, training programs and learning development programs.

Ronald Covington has a background in financial analysis focused on capital spending, budget analysis, cost projections, strategic planning, operations, training coordination, team development and process management. He was also the Zone Operations Manager & Business Unit Leader for Frito-Lay where he managed all aspects of sales operations including financial spending, meeting sales product service demands, maintaining a world class fleet and workforce development including management staff development.

Together, and with the help of other employees, the co-owners will open the new 17,000+ sq. ft. facility in Bowie Town Center. Family fun activities will include: a state-of-the-art laser tag arena, bowling, wall climbing, Hologate virtual reality experiences, high-tech arcade games and “Clubhouse” concessions/restaurant and sports bar (adults only). The center will also have private party rooms and a comfortably seated observation deck. The borrower has included their target market within Prince George’s County for their primary audience between the ages of 8 to 18 year olds. The company will have brand partnering by sponsoring county youth sports leagues, girls/boys clubs, county schools and universities.
