The HQ for Hot Days

When temperatures climb, Party HQ is Bowie’s go-to resource for family-friendly fun. This soaring entertainment emporium has activities appropriate for all ages. Laser tag, bowling, arcade favorites, karaoke, and adult game nights fill the week with possibilities for enjoyment. Their specials are budget-friendly and are sure to delight. Adding to the feel-good factor, Party HQ is a small business worth supporting, as it received a loan from the Economic Development Incentive Fund and The City of Bowie Revolving Loan Fund to open its doors. Since 2018, Party HQ has created approximately 100 local jobs and thousands of smiles.

Groove in the Grass

If live music suits your style, Riverdale Park’s Jazz on the Lawn invites you to enjoy culture from the comfort of your lawn chair. Sponsored by the Maryland State Arts Council and the Town of Riverdale Park, Jazz on the Lawn is a free monthly music series that blends melody and community in a gorgeous setting. Held at the Riversdale House Museum, the concerts feature jazz and blues vocalists.

Local Eats and Beats

The Old Bowie Town Grille is where the locals go for hospitality that’s on point and a live music scene that supports homegrown artists. Earning top marks as a restaurant and bar on TripAdvisor, the Old Bowie Town Grille is a guaranteed good time for patrons of all ages. From blues harmonica to the favorites performed by their in-house band, the Low Rent Quartet, the vibe is upbeat, and the flavors always please. Creative financing from FSC First and an SBA 504 Commercial Real Estate Loan, among other sources of capital, helped the Thompson family transform an aging barn into a dining space loved by the locals. Minor League = Major Fun
